Red Bull Romaniacs 2024: World’s toughest hard enduro Rallye kicks off with in-city prologue in Sibiu

In its 21st edition, the world’s toughest hard enduro rallye, the Red Bull Romaniacs kicked off with the in-city prologue in Sibiu. The man made obstacle course stretched 350 metres along the boulevard with the total loop distance being 700 metres – 8 laps of racing was the challenge for the “finals”. The track comprised around eighty tons of logs and eighty tons of big rocks, there were a whopping twenty two obstacles compared to seven in the twentieth edition last year. This longer Prolog was relentless, showing no mercy between obstacles, it is one after the other which will be the toughest challenge for competitors.

The Gold class Prolog finals were absolutely insane! Jonny Walker (GBR) fought his way through, Alfredo Gomez (ESP) in second and with four-times Romaniacs winner Manuel Lettenbichler (GER) in third.

At today’s offroad day 1 all the competitors from 64 nations will be challenged in the Romanian Carpathian mountains.

Results:

Top 3
1| Jonny Walker (GBR)
2| Alfredo Gomez (ESP)
3| Manuel Lettenbichler (GER)
