{"id":11530,"date":"2026-07-10T11:25:44","date_gmt":"2026-07-10T11:25:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/enduroworld.co.za\/2023\/?page_id=11530"},"modified":"2026-07-10T11:25:44","modified_gmt":"2026-07-10T11:25:44","slug":"%f0%9f%8f%81-getting-started-with-michelin-ewxc-racing","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/enduroworld.co.za\/2023\/%f0%9f%8f%81-getting-started-with-michelin-ewxc-racing\/","title":{"rendered":"\ud83c\udfc1 Getting Started with Michelin EWXC Racing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\ud83d\udcdd Step 1 \u2013 Create Your Race Control Profile<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All Michelin EWXC entries are completed through <strong>Race Control<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Before entering your first race, you&#8217;ll need to create your own Race Control profile using your personal details and motorcycle information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Every rider must have <strong>their own Race Control profile.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>You cannot enter another rider using your profile.<\/li>\n<li>Save your username and password for future events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\ud83d\udcd6 Step 2 \u2013 Read the Race Regulations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Before every event, download and read the Race Regulations available under <strong>Race Downloads<\/strong> on Race Control.<\/p>\n<p>These documents include important information such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Venue Directions<\/li>\n<li>Race Schedule<\/li>\n<li>Riders Briefing<\/li>\n<li>Safety Information<\/li>\n<li>Event Procedures<\/li>\n<li>WhatsApp Group Link<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\ud83c\udfcd\ufe0f Step 3 \u2013 Enter the Event<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once your profile has been created, simply enter the event online.<\/p>\n<p>You may use the race number already displayed on your motorcycle.<\/p>\n<p>If another rider has already entered using the same number, we&#8217;ll allocate you an alternative number to ensure accurate timing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\ud83d\udd22 Step 4 \u2013 Bike Numbers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Every motorcycle must display a clearly visible race number.<\/p>\n<p>Your bike number must match your Race Control entry.<\/p>\n<p>No number = No Start.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u231a Step 5 \u2013 Race Control Timing Tag<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Every rider requires a Race Control Timing Tag.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cost: <strong>R100<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Purchased once only<\/li>\n<li>Re-used at every Enduro World event<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t already have one, simply purchase it during documentation on race day.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\ud83d\udcf1 Step 6 \u2013 Join the Event WhatsApp Group<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each event has its own WhatsApp group where we share:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Event Updates<\/li>\n<li>Riders Briefing Voice Notes<\/li>\n<li>Last-minute Notices<\/li>\n<li>Important Race Information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You&#8217;ll find the WhatsApp link in the Race Regulations.<\/p>\n<p>We strongly encourage every rider to join before race day.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\ud83c\udf89 That&#8217;s It!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;re ready to race!<\/p>\n<p>Complete your online entry, arrive early on race day and enjoy one of South Africa&#8217;s best cross-country enduro experiences.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\ud83d\udcdd Step 1 \u2013 Create Your Race Control Profile All Michelin EWXC entries are completed through Race Control.
