FAST KTM Madalas – Pilgrims Rest – 24th September 2022

Our 5th FAST KTM Mountain Madalas for 2022 will be held on the 24th September in the Pilgrims Rest.   Click HERE for the Google maps link to where the pitting area will be.

What is FAST KTM Mountain Madalas?

We offer you the best Enduro routes in the best places possible with the most magnificent views – NO racing, NO pressure, just good fun with friends and the whole family.

IMPORTANT

This year we have decided use Womza as our federation for the FAST KTM Mountain Madalas events, therefore you will need a Womza license to participate.  If you already have a full club membership and Womza license for the year you do NOT need an additional license, you can use your existing license.  Once you have done your online entry please email or whatsapp  me a copy on:  info@enduroworld.co.za or 0832492386.

If you DO NOT have an exiting license you can either apply for a one event/one day license along with your below application or a year licence (Which runs from Jan to Dec) on our website – click HERE to apply now.

Details of the ride:

Friday Afternoon Ride – 23rd September  – starts at 13:00
BOOKING ESSENTIAL – This will be similar to the blue route of Saturday.  Riders MUST do registration first and have their stickers on their bikes in order to be allowed to do the Friday ride.  The cost of the ride is R250. Per rider

Saturday:  – 24th September 2022 –  we will have 3 routes that our riders can choice from but are not limited to:

1)  Green (easy) loop – (NO GPS required – route will be marked – however we do suggest that a GPS leader do a “sighting lap” with the rider) – about 5 – 10 kms , this is for the kids, ladies and beginners – easy route – lots of fun.

2)  Blue Main normal Madalas loop – (GPS) about 20-35 kms. This is lovely flowing riding with a  few river crossings, rolling hills and amazing scenery. The blue loop is our normal main loop with a few small challenges, not recommended for beginners.

3)  Red (Exteme) loop – (GPS) about 25-35 kms which is aimed at our roof riders who want a real challenge.

You will receive points per lap that you do and your total points for the day will represent the finishers medal that you receive.

GOLD Medal – 90 points

Silver Medal – 60 points

Bronze Medal – 30 points

NOTE: GPS required for ALL routes – the routes are NOT marked 

Entry Fee                                         :  R995. (R945. for EW Club members).
Entry Fee 2nd Family member   :  R695. (R645. for EW Club members).
(2nd Family member discount is offered to families living in the same household.)

Friday Ride Entry Fee                    :  R250. per rider

First 300 to register and pay before 9th September 2022 will receive your FREE FAST KTM Mountain Madalas T-shirt.  This date will also be our CUT OFF for T-shirts so please enter & pay before the 9th September 2022 to avoid disappointment of not receiving your Madalas Tee.

Friday – 23rd September 2022
12:00 -17:00 – Registration
12:00 – Friday Ride Starts
15:00 – Cut off time (No more riders allowed out on Friday route)

Saturday – 24th September 2022
06:30 – 10:00 – Registration
06:30 – 10:00 – Start (Kit up and start as soon as you are ready).
(Riders can start anytime between 06:30 & 10:00)
13:00 – Cut off time for Red Route (No more riders allowed out)
15:00 – Cut off time for Blue & Green Routes (No more riders allowed out)
Medals are awarded at the finish line

Lucky Draw

The lucky draw will take place at 3pm at the pit area of the event.  Your registration NAME TAG must be kept and handed in to Andre between 2 & 3 pm, at the start / finish, to get a ticket.  You do not have to be there to collect your prize but someone from your pits can come and collect your ticket and prize on your behalf. 

Please remember to collect your goodie bags, number stickers and T-shirts at register before riding.

Enduro World does not handle any accommodation bookings for riders, please make sure you find your own accommodation.  We recommend booking in Pilgrims but if you are struggling to find accommodation there please book at Graskop (town 16 kms from Pilgrims).   The best way to do this is via booking.com or lekker slaap.co.za website.

BUDDY SYSTEM & TRACKING 
For your own safety and peace of mind for your loved ones we suggest that you ride with someone, do not ride alone as this is very dangerous.  We also strongly suggest that you rent or purchase a Just Trac unit for events.  The units have an SOS button in case of emergencies and we can also track riders on the app and on the screen at the Just Trac gazebo.  We would also like to take this opportunity to remind our riders to please stay on the track at all times.   You can order a rental of the Just Trac unit along with your entry and have your unit ready and waiting for you to collect on Saturday morning. 

Don’t forget your Womza license – you can now apply for the One Event / One Day license on the below application.

Our online entries are closed for admin purposes however we are still accepting entries for this event.  If you wish to enter please send an email to info@enduroworld.co.za and we will email you a manual entry from.
